Test Footage

Experimental Risk Project

Today me and Sophie have created some test footage, using istop motion connected to the camera positioned on the table with the use of the tripod. We had some plain white paper on our desk which we were to stack the cards on and Dominoes. Here is some test footage of me and Sophie experimenting with the cards.

I think that todays lesson went well, In reflection I thought that the cards are much more difficult to stack up than to position dominoes in a line. I think that it was a fun experiment and a risky one. Because in one situation we were nearly finished building the tower and stacking the last of the cards to be the pointed tip of the tower. But however the force and weight of the cards at the top tumbled down. This was a risk we commonly know of.

With the dominoes when I standing them on the paper I was creating a bend for the dominoes to curve around and then knock down in a curvy pattern. But the dominoes I stood up did not and just fell down all in a line. So me and Sophie had to design a trick that would stop this problem from preventing. So Sophie came up with the idea of placing closer to eachother when closer to eachother at a slight angle at thecurves this is what we did and it worked really well.

In conclusion I think that out test footage worked really, I think it was a small challenging experiment and I have not done any of this before so in reflection it went well as me and Sophie wanted it to. Because me and Sophie thought that both ideas were effective we then had the idea of the card tower stacked up with the dominoes circuling around the tower that way its shows two ways of different risks.
